This program will take your knowledge and skills to perform conservative adhesive procedures to a whole new level
YOU WILL LEARN
ABOUT COURSE
Increase the joint strength of the restoration with the tooth by 400%
Collectively, the science plus the principles and methods of advanced adhesive dentistry are known as biomimetic dentistry
Naturally, the preservation of most of the intact tooth is of paramount importance for this approach, and is ideally combined with adhesion
At its core, the biomimetic approach reflects a simple philosophy according to which we must "imitate life" and understand the natural tooth in its entirety in order to adequately restore it
Reduce the need for endodontic treatment by more than 95%
Correctly form the root borders of the restoration
Avoid setting new pins and crowns
Conservatively restore teeth with maximum strength and function
Work with the best adhesive materials and technologies
Over the past 15 years, there has been a steady evolution of the approach to restorative dentistry with the transition from mechanical retention to advanced adhesion
When applied correctly, the adhesion preserves the edge tightness in the best way and prevents leakage and gaps. In addition, an adhesive restored tooth copes best with functional loads, and does it similarly to an intact natural tooth
ABOUT SPEAKER
David Alleman
Dr. Alleman has been practicing dentistry for 40 years, since graduation Pacific University in 1978.
David served in the US Navy for the first 3 years and has been working in Utah for the last 29 years. In 1995, he began studying adhesive dentistry with Dr. Ray Bertolotti. In 1999, Dr. John Coys was an early David's mentor.
These two mentors took him through 10 years/10,000 hours of literature research and scientific articles on which advanced adhesive (biomimetic) dentistry. Other mentors and colleagues of the doctor are Gary Unterbrink, Didier Dietschi, Pascal Magne and Jeff Knight. He has been teaching the Six Lessons Approach to dentists since 2003.
SCHEDULE
1 day — lecture part
21 MAY from 9 to 18
HOW THE COURSE WORKS
1. Immediate sealing of dentin
7. Protocols of direct composite restorations with reduced polymerization stress
You will never have to dissect a tooth for a full crown again. The viability of the teeth will be preserved for a long time even in cases of deep caries and cracks in the dentine
You will learn about 12 key protocols:
2 DAY — practical part
22 MAY: The first group - from 9 to 13 The second group - from 14 to 18
Dear participants of the practical part, please bring magnifying glasses, gloves of your size, and a light
2. Composite coating
8. Placement of fiberglass to relieve polymerization stress
3. Restoration of subgingival edges
9. End points of deep caries removal without opening the pulp
4. Edge sealing zones
10. Removal of cracks in the dentine without opening the pulp
5. Sandblasting surface preparation
11. How to choose the best adhesive systems for dentin
6. Deactivation of MMP (matrix metalloproteinases)
These protocols will increase the strength of the adhesive joint with dentin by 300-400%, compared to traditional adhesive protocols. This will give you the confidence you need to restore your teeth in the conservative ways that your patients love so much
12. How to choose the most biomimetic materials for deep dentin, surface dentin, DES and enamel
